7 days / 6 nights

Day 1 Asuncion | Historical city tour, with an option to go shopping.

Day 2 Asuncion – Colonia Independencia – Salto Suizo | The Ñandutí lace is the symbol of the town of Itaguá, as the Aó Po`íembroidery is the symbol of Yataity. Visiting the shops of the artisans where these traditional Paraguayan fabrics are manufactured will be a cultural experience of high value. The city of Colonia Independencia will receive us at lunch time. Colonized mostly by German immigrants and other European countries, Colonia Independencia has developed a distinct urban scheme from other towns in the region. Half way through the 20th century, a farmer of Swedish origin inhabited the place that today is known as Suizo Fall, a water fall of about 50 meters of heights that

hides in a bubble of gallery forests. Various options at this site: mountainbiking our way up to the water fall, descending the falls by rappel or climbing the Cerro de la Cruz (Hill of the Cross).

Day 3 Colonia Independencia - Cordillera of the Ybytyruzu – Acatí Hill - Ita letra | Slopped dirt roads, surrounded by frondose flora, ascend to the Acati Hill, at an altitude of 650 meters above sea level. We are at the fabulous Cordillera of Ybytyruzu. From the top of the hill, the horizon draws a landscape of the mountains with panoramic views of small rural communities. After a farm-style lunch, we descend by a rustic path that connects us with a place called Ita Letra: rocky formations with mysterious runic, pre-Columbian inscriptions, whose origins are still being estimated by scientists.

Day 4 Tebicuary-mi River - Tres Kandú Hill- Yataity –Maria Auxiliadora Farm | The Tebicuary River is perfect to enjoy canoe trips. The gallery forests surrounding the area will accompany us with their verdancy and their fauna. Later, we will ascend up to the highest point in Paraguay: the top of Tres Kandú Hill. From its 850 meters of height, the landscapes of the zone are even more beautiful. Next, we visit the dynamic city of Villarrica, whose picturesque streets are great for a stroll. We get to the town of La Colmena at night and stay at a lodge near the Ybycuí National Park.

Day 5: Maria Auxiliadora Farm – Caraí-mi Fall – Ybycui National Park | Walking through woody paths, we get to the Caraí-mi Stream. Water falls, natural pools and walls of rocks formed by geological faults create a unique place. The contemplation of nature combines with baths in pools of natural waters.

Day 6 Crystal Fall – Ybycuí National Park - The Rosada |  It will be necessary to go through a 17 Km road trip, to descend 30 meters of gallery forests and to walk 100 meters of streams in order to get to the magnificent Crystal Fall that, with a cascade of 60 meters, is special to practice rappel. Later, we will visit the Ybycuí National Park, watered with crystalline streams that form cascades, falls, and natural pools. Paths that cross natural gardens take us through rocks, ferns and orchids. We end the day with a visit to the reconstructed ruins of La Rosada, place of the first steel foundry in Paraguay and South America.
